Review and modify a JAS Study
Select, review, and modify a JAS Scenario
Identify and explain Warfighting functionality
Incorporate new warfight within current JAS version
Initiate and monitor one or more replications of a JAS Scenario
Export JAS data (Scenario and run output) to Oracle tables and files
Use COTS tools to process exported JAS data
Participate in analysis using JAS as part of a study team

Course Description

4 days/32 hours, Tuesday to Friday
Hands on supplemented with slide presentations
Less than 8-1 ratio students to instructors
Self paced, focused scenario construction and analysis in specific area of interest
Create a JAS Study:
Complete Study Descriptions based upon selected Training Study Directive
Identify Essential Elements of Analysis (EEAs) based upon selected Training Study Directive
Identify Measures to support Study EEAs
Relate scenario(s) and Run Definition to the Study
Create New Equipment and Forces in the JAS Baseline Scenario
CommandCreate a new JAS Asset and insure it is complete and functioning
Create new unit to control new Asset
Provide necessary unit orders to participate in scenario CONOPS
Run and troubleshoot scenario to improve CONOPS
Introduction to Data Base Operations
JAS Scenario data in Oracle tables
JAS run output and commercial off the shelf (COTS) tools
Data Base Operations
Run multiple replications of base and new scenario
Export run output to files and Oracle tables
Use COTS tools to evaluate the Campaign Level impact of new capability
Skills gained upon Training Completion:
Create and modify a JAS Study to Training Study Directive requirements
Create a new asset, BSE Type and BSE in a JAS base scenario
Run individual simulations during scenario build and multiple replications to support analysis
Export JAS data (Scenario and run output) to Oracle tables and files to support scenario build and output analysis
Initiate and monitor one or more replications of a JAS Scenario
Use COTS tools to process exported JAS data
Complete analysis using JAS independently or as a team lead

Although all formal training utilizes unclassified scenarios, submission of a Visit Request confirming your security clearance will facilitate more detailed discussion of JAS capabilities related to your planned or potential use of the JAS simulation.

Parking is underground, accessible from Pierce Street between Wilson Boulevard (one way out bound) and Clarendon Boulevard (one way inbound)
Parking is $4 for an hour, $6 all day - pay upon arrival. Stickers are available at the CACI reception desk to get money back.
Directions from Dulles Airport or Reston area:
Dulles Airport or Toll Road East to I-66
Take I-66 East to Key Bridge Exit
Right at 2nd traffic light to Wilson Blvd
Right on Wilson Blvd, up the hill to Pierce Street
Left on Pierce - immediate right into parking garage (behind the building).
Directions from National Airport:
Exit airport onto George Washington Parkway North
Follow signs and exit onto I-395 South
Take 3rd exit (very short distance) "Rosslyn Route 110"
Left lane exits at Rosslyn onto Wilson Blvd
Proceed up the hill through several traffic lights
At top of hill, turn left onto Pierce (Red, Hot & Blue BBQ sign on corner)
Immediate right turn into Parking Garage
Directions from Rosslyn Metro (Orange or Blue lines)
Exit Metro station by rear exit (Ft. Myer Drive)
Left to Wilson Blvd
Right on Wilson to top of hill (2 long blocks)
From 95 (395)
Take 95/395 going to North toward Washington.
Get off at exit 8A, Washington Blvd route 27. Stay to the left.
Once on 27, continue until you see the exit for Washington East, Route 50 East (It is on the right, you will pass the exit for Fort Myer)
Once you have exited onto Route 50 east, go through the traffic light.
Take the next exit, which will be: N. Rhodes, N. Queens. (On the right.)
You will see a bridge on the left, turn and cross the bridge. You are on N. Rhodes.
Go to the traffic light and turn right, on to Claredon Street.
Go to the next light and turn left onto N. Pierce Street.
Turn left into the parking garage area.
The building is cream colored with black windows.
